About Us

Our Mission

St. Jude Orphans is a nonprofit foundation bringing hope to internally displaced children of religious minorities in Iraq and refugees in diaspora. We bring hope to the suffering, sick and homeless.

Our Foundation

Who We Are

We are a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping orphans, sick children, children with special needs and widows. We believe that we are all called to help widows and children.

Where We Came From

Our organization was started in 2015 by Fr. Wisam, a Chaldean Catholic priest, who saw the suffering and needs of the children in Iraq due to the aftermath of ISIS.

Where We Want to Go, and What We Want to Do

We not only want to help with everyday life needs but also create programs that:

  • Allow widows to work and earn a living while being able to take care of their little ones.

  • Support those who are disabled, have special needs, or have mental health issues.

  • Will aid in the development of a facility that allows those in need to come to and partake in the programs

We believe that if you give a man a fish, he will eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he will eat for life.

Goals

Setting the Bar for 2024

Covid took its toll on the whole world, and it was no different for St. Jude Orphans. We are aiming to make up for the past few years and are 100% reliant on donations to continue our mission.

Pre-Covid, we were able to generate almost $200,000 and helped 158 children by providing their families sustenance to survive.

From 2020 to 2023, we raised a fraction of the funds needed to support the widows and children in Iraq. Our goals in 2024 are to revitalize our charity and raise at least $300,000, but we need your support to provide the essential needs for these families.
